Founded in 1978 to give young children in the capital a sound start to their education,      the magic years follows the Montessori method founded by Dr Maria Montessori and is wholly committed to the cause of the child. The school has earned itself a reputation of excellence and continues to be run to the highest standards. From January 2021, the administration of the magic years has been run by the Shiv Nadar Foundation which runs The Shiv Nadar Schools, a K to 12 urban education initiative of the Foundation, which has campuses in Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad. The schools endeavour to provide a stimulating and enriching environment for young minds and guide them into becoming lifelong learners, and ethically and morally responsible citizens. The alliance between     the magic years and the Foundation will bring strength and benefit to all involved - continuity, confidence, commitment, tradition, and a seamless education from 18 months to 18 years. We remain steadfast in our undertaking to the development of the young child as he grows into a well-balanced citizen who contributes to building a new world.

The school will continue to be run by Mrs Madhavan Kutty and her committed team of teachers, as "the magic years – a Shiv Nadar School".
